The Farm Office

Picture
Compare the building you are facing with the one in the photographs taken a century ago. Built in 1908, the farm office has always been used as administrative offices. The left curve, where you are now standing, led to Heart’s
Delight Cottage.

Farm business traffic took the right curve leading to the Farm Office and barnyard. Eventually a second set of stone gates was built a few hundred feet east of the main entrance. This east route, where you entered the farm today, has been used since
for farm traffic.

The Wayside Walk panels were designed and installed with a Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership grant administered through the Lake Champlain Basin Program.
