Heart's Delight Gardens
The extensive formal gardens and arboretum that covered the east side of Heart’s Delight Cottage drive melded Victorian and rustic Adirondack styles popular in the early 20th century. Guests of the Miners could also enjoy the miles of roads developed throughout the wooded acreage of the farm. Whether on the lawn or in the woods, the Miners delighted in the beauty that could spring from the soil as well as the bounty it produced.
The Wayside Walk panels were designed and installed with a Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership grant administered through the Lake Champlain Basin Program.
